Catholics Resist Same-sex "marriage" -- Traditional Marriage Ads Received with Cheers and Jeers

HANOVER, Penn., June 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) is receiving mixed reactions after publishing large ads opposing same-sex "marriage." The statement titled Battling for America’s Soul: How Homosexual "Marriage" Threatens Our Nation and Faith—TFP Urges Lawful and Conscientious Resistance, appeared as a two-page ad simultaneously in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Washington Times on June 5.

"A wave of phone calls and emails are pouring in," said TFP director Preston Noell. "What I find most shocking is the impolite and even vitriolic tone contained in the replies advocating same-sex 'marriage.' Our group has been called just about every ugly name for publishing a calm and reasoned defense of traditional marriage," he said.

"But the number of positive responses is great. It's clear to me that Christian America is ready to peacefully reject and resist the imposition of homosexual "marriage," he added.

Bishops blast V-Monologues play on Catholic campuses

Members of the Campus Rosary Crusade have been opposing productions of the lewd V-Monologues play over the years -- especially when they are presented at Catholic institutions of higher learning such as the University of Notre Dame, where they subvert Catholic morality and thus have no place. There are new developments to report.

Just recently, Catholics protested at Loyola in New Orleans. The next day, Archbishop Alfred C. Hughes of New Orleans issued a statement against the play, saying

Academic freedom encourages the pursuit of the truth. Academic freedom is prostituted when it is used to justify activities which dehumanize women and perpetuate blatant falsehood.

Likewise, Bishop D'Arcy issued a powerful statement condemning the decision of Fr. Jenkins, president of Notre Dame, for allowing the play to disgrace campus later this month.

Bishop D’Arcy also criticized the play’s scheduling for Holy Week, saying, “If this play is performed on the dates scheduled, it will be held during Easter week, the holiest time of the church year… Surely Notre Dame will not prefer or even seem to prefer the requirements of the V-Day campaign to the proper observance of Easter.”

V-Monologues Attacks Morality on 20 Catholic Campuses

Please include this intention in your Rosaries...

Feminists at 20 Catholic colleges and universities plan to assault Catholic moral teaching with performances of The V-Monologues. Year after year, during the weeks surrounding St. Valentine’s Day, prominent Catholic institutions have allowed the play to carry on despite its vulgar anti-Catholic message of sexual anarchy.
